Meeting of St. Paul and Resurrection Parishes

On Thursday, February 18 at 7 PM in Resurrection Parish Hall, all parishioners of Saint Paul and Resurrection Parishes are invited to a conversation about Disciples in Mission which is the Pastoral Plan for the entire Archdiocese of Boston, and Resurrection and Saint Paul Parishes. Father Paul Soper and others from the Office of Pastoral Planning will be here to talk with us about the implementation of the Collaborative relationship of Resurrection and Saint Paul Parishes. This will be a simple and straightforward meeting to outline the process whereby our parishes officially become Collaborative Parishes on May 31, 2016, and discuss changes and opportunities that lie ahead. At this ninety minute meeting there will be time to answer questions about the changes that will happen when our parishes become a Collaborative and hear our concerns. If you would like to do some preparation work for the meeting, please consult http://www.disciplesinmission.com/, and look at Frequently Asked Questions. We hope that you will join us for this meeting as this is an important step in our preparation to become Collaborative Parishes on May 31, 2016.

Prayer Time In Small Groups

Starting the week of February 14, small faith sharing groups will begin meeting once a week for six weeks at the Rectory and in parishioners' homes. The program is called Prayer Time and focuses on illuminating the Sunday Gospel for the week. Please consider joining a group! No prior participation is required. If interested, please contact Donna Porter at 781-740-1428 or email Donnayp@verizon.net

Lenten Mission for St. Paul and Resurrection Parishes

Resurrection and Saint Paul Parishes’ Lenten Mission will be on Monday, February 29, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1 and 2 at 7 pm at Resurrection Church. Father Dermot Roache, SMA will speak on The Divine Mercy and The Family. In addition to hearing Father Roache’s reflections on Divine Mercy, we will celebrate Mass on each of the three nights.

Our Parish Mission is a great opportunity to grow in the love of the Lord, especially as we experience this Jubilee Year of Divine Mercy. His mercy abounds and the Parish Mission invites as to drink deeply of the mercy which flows from the heart of Jesus.

Please set aside these three nights, February 29, March 1 and 2, so that the Lord may shower us with his mercy.

YEAR OF MERCY
DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET

As part of St. Paul's celebration of the Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis, we intend to recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily at 3:00 p.m. in the lower church, beginning Jan. 1.  We encourage all the faithful to recite the Chaplet at this hour wherever they may be. There will be booklets for you to borrow in the church. You will recall that this was first requested by Jesus to St. Faustina.

Lector Ministry Opportunity

Is the Holy Spirit calling you to proclaim? If so, please consider joining the parish’s lector ministry and serving through proclamation of God’s Word at Sunday Mass. Lectors serve their ministry about once a month. Workbooks and individual coaching/feedback are provided to assist new Lectors. Please call Ed Boylan at 781-749-1558 or e-mail him at boylan.family@comcast.net and join 25 of your fellow parishioners in this important ministry! High school/local college students are especially welcomed. We have a particular need for 7am, 9am, and 11am Masses. Thank you.
