Mercy Pilgrimage to
the Holy Door
 at
Holy Cross Cathedral

You are invited to travel to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston and pass through the Holy Door on Wednesday, August 31st. We will leave Saint Paul following the 9am Mass and arrive by motor coach at the Cathedral at 10:30am. During this Holy Year of Mercy, The Cathedral of the Holy Cross has been designated by Pope Francis as a pilgrim destination with the Holy Door of Mercy.

Also during our visit there will be an opportunity to tour the Cathedral, pray, and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

If you would like to join us for the morning pilgrimage, please sign your name on the sheet at the back of the church. Transportation cost is $15.00 and may be paid at the rectory.

Meet Mickayla

Hello! My name is Mickayla Hagar and I am the Collaborative Teen Coordinator for Saint Paul's and The Resurrection! I am new to Hingham but I am really excited for the opportunity to work along side the parish staff as we strive to further the kingdom of God here in our parish! A little bit about myself. I am originally from Maine and I received my degrees in Theology and Catechetics with a Concentration in Youth Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. My role within the parish is to walk with and guide the high school youth as they try to understand the beautiful truths about our faith and strive after holiness. I humbly ask for your prayers for the youth and myself as we courageously walk forward on our journey towards deeper communion with Christ. God bless you!

YEAR OF MERCY

DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET

As part of St. Paul's celebration of the Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis, we intend to recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily at 3:00 p.m. in the lower church, beginning Jan. 1.  We encourage all the faithful to recite the Chaplet at this hour wherever they may be. There will be booklets for you to borrow in the church. You will recall that this was first requested by Jesus to St. Faustina.

Lector Ministry Opportunity

Is the Holy Spirit calling you to proclaim? If so, please consider joining the parish’s lector ministry and serving through proclamation of God’s Word at Sunday Mass. Lectors serve their ministry about once a month. Workbooks and individual coaching/feedback are provided to assist new Lectors. Please call Ed Boylan at 781-749-1558 or e-mail him at boylan.family@comcast.net and join 25 of your fellow parishioners in this important ministry! High school/local college students are especially welcomed. We have a particular need for the 7am, 8:30 am, and 11:30 am Masses. Thank you.

Family Mass Prayer Families Needed

Hey Kids! Would you and your family like to do the readings at the 10am Family Mass? You can sign up and download the readings on-line by using Volunteer Spot; Just click here...

Or contact Cyndi Kester at cyndikester@me.com for more information. The prayer family reads the Scripture passage(s) and the petitions (prayers of the faithful) for that week and also brings the gifts of wine and bread to the priest.
